Welcome to our site map, where we explain to you how to navigate around the “Migrants in Europe” website. You will find information about the different menu options here and we describe how to use the navigation menu and what information you will find on the respective pages.

Home page

This is the first stop on our website. Here you’ll find information about the competition, including about the theme, how to apply and the time schedule. You’ll also find a general introduction, as well as links to other useful pages on our website such as to guidelines and rules.

Later on, once the finalists have been chosen, the ‘Homepage’ will become your ‘Finalists homepage'. As well as an introduction to the finalists and an invitation to vote, you will be able to click on a visual of the finalist contributions that will redirect you to the ‘Finalists’ page.

Competition page

Having trouble understanding the rules of the competition? Want to know more about the schedule? This page will be your main reference point, if you need answers about the project.

National contacts page

Here you will be able to find contact details for each of the national contacts, such as postal address, e-mail address and telephone number. Candidates can contact them with any questions they might have.

Registration page

This is where you will register your school. In order to do so you will have to fill in several compulsory fields (name of school, sector, contact details etc). Please note that each school will have to have a member of the school staff (teacher or headmaster for example) as their point of contact. If several members of staff within the same school wish to submit separate registrations, this is also possible, especially for bigger schools.

Once we have confirmed your request to register, your application will be sent to our national contacts who will need to validate your entry. After this step, you will receive an e-mail validating the registration. This e-mail will contain a link to create a password for your login. After the login and password have been created, you will receive an e-mail containing your login details.

If you have already registered, but you have forgotten your password, there is the possibility to recover it. You’ll receive an e-mail redirecting you to a form allowing the modification of the password.

Submission page

Schools can compete in multiple categories, and introduce several teams in the competition. As a result, the submissions page will have 2 options: ‘Add a submission’ and ‘My submissions’(containing works already submitted by the school).

Click the first option to add a project for submission. This submission has to be accompanied by details about the authors and a description of their project. The artwork must also be uploaded on this page.

Please print the pdf file on this page concerning the copyrights, sign it, scan it and send it together with the hard copy of your artwork to the national coordinator. This document stipulates that the declared authors are the real authors of the work submitted. By submitting their work, they keep the rights to the artwork while allowing the European Commission to use it without restriction of time or medium. The document also states that your artwork is free of any third-party rights – e.g. rights of authors of artworks that might have been used as part of your artwork or rights of people/objects features in your artwork. The authors submitting the artwork are solely responsible for ensuring that the artwork they submit is free of third-party right. The second option will allow you to follow submissions already uploaded for your school.

Finalists

Once the submissions are closed, the ‘Registration page’ will become the ‘Finalists page’.

The ‘Finalists’ page will present the artworks which passed the European selection, around 30 pieces, ranked in alphabetical order and by category. The vote is open to everyone who wants to vote for their favourite artwork. In order to do so, you simply have to choose your winner and provide your e-mail address. We will then send you an e-mail asking you to confirm your vote. You can vote several times with the same e-mail address, but no more than once a week.
